Singapore saw a new Celebrity emerge this weekend – the Celebrity Millennium, fresh from her dry dock at Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore, sailed from Marina Bay Sands in her new colour scheme.
She received a number of updates as part of the Celebrity Revolution, which is part of a $500 million fleetwide project to bring a number of features across the Millennium and Solstice-class ships, including the line’s Retreat concept.
The line has had all the accommodation redesigned and transformed into “statement of modern luxury” according to Celebrity Cruises.
Designed by the famous firm, Hirsch Bedner Associates, the staterooms will be fitted out with Celebrity’s eXhale bedding featuring cashmere mattresses, RFID locks, Xcelerate and Bluetooth capabilities.
Celebrity will also be rolling out the Qsine restaurant throughout the entire fleet, completed renovated. And it will be offering the virtual Le Petit Chef experience. Guests will be able to see their dishes created in a fun whimsical way in 3D motion. It’s then projected in 3D motion before the waiters then bring out your course.
The Oceanview Café will be redesigned with an open, airy, marketplace-inspired design, while the main restaurants will undergo a redesign with new textures and new finishes added.
Other Celebrity Revolution features include expansion of the SEA Thermal Suite, new shopping experiences with designer products, elevates bars and lounges, including the new Passport Bar. There is also going to be the expansion of Celebrity’s Gastrobar concept, which will serve more than 40 craft beers, cocktails and comfort food.
The rest of the fleet will be upgraded up until 2023.
