This year, Avalon Waterways will be offering a special European charter exclusively for Asians.
“It has been devised in response to recent growth in Asian markets,” says a company representative.
Departing Prague in the Czech Republic on December 14, the nine-day Christmastime on the Danube tour will take in some of the best sights in Germany and Austria, including the 11th-century Benedictine Abbey in Melk, a German pub, the Old Sausage Kitchen in Regensburg and, of course, the colourful Christmas markets.
Prices start at US$2245 per person (twin share), which includes accommodation, sightseeing with local guides, all meals while cruising, complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks with dinner, port charges and onboard gratuities.
All suites and staterooms include nightly turn-down service, bedside tables with reading lamps, spacious closets with shelves, alarm clock, flatscreen satellite television, complimentary wi-fi and individual climate control.
