First ever cosplay festival held on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas


Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas will play host to Asia’s first every Cosplay festival at sea.

Organised by The Singapore Cosplay Club in celebration of its 15th birthday, COSFEST SEA: The Rising Tide, is a three-night weekend cruise which will be held from January 8 to 11.

Heading to Kuala Lumpur, the cruise will feature the region’s top cosplayers for the Asia Cosplay Meet Championship which will feature three contestants from eight countries including China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand vying for the top spot.

There will also be entertainment and activities and the chance for cosplayers to mingle with one another and learn about different cosplay cultures.

Cosplayers even get the chance to get to meet celebrity cosplayers like Neneko from Taiwan who will be available for photos and autograph sessions.

Some of the highlights include the Cosplay Parade, Cosplay Café, Costume Dressing Session as well as photo opportunities.

The theme cruise packages are now on sale on the Singapore Cosplay Club’s website.

Starting at SGD$460 for an Interior Stateroom and SGD$633 for a Balcony Stateroom, guests will be entitled to a COSFEST SEA souvenir and specially allocated seating at the Cosplay Café.
They will also be granted special access to events like the Private Cosplay Photoshoot and Sounds of Cosfest Singing Party.
