A new Vietnamese cruise operator has started sailing the first of its two new ships in Halong Bay.
Lion Asia started its cruises on November 12 with the first of its President Cruises ship with the second taking to the water in 2019.
The ship measures 86 metres from bow-to-stern and is 13 metres high, making it the largest overnight ship to ever sail in Halong Bay.
The cruise line has claimed that the ships are the biggest and most luxurious cruise vessel on the way and it will have 46 cabins and suites and has a capacity of 120 guests.
There are also five non-smoking cabins and the sizes of accommodation range up to 30 sqm with the Ambassador Balcony, Premier Balcony cabins as well as a spacious Presidents Suite.
The ship also has an evening piano bar, spa, restaurant and two sun decks.
President Cruises offers one and two-night itineraries with rates starting from US$450 (VND10,500,000) per person inclusive of attractions on the itinerary, meals and transfers.
