P&O, Silversea head to Thailand

Move over Phuket and Koh Samui, because Ko Chang and Ko Phra Thong are the next big destinations for cruising in Thailand.

During 2016, Ko Chang, which is often referred to as the ‘Maldives of Thailand’ will welcome its first P&O Cruises Australia ship.

The line’s brand new ship, Pacific Eden, will make her inaugural call to the island during a 14-night cruise in July.

Starting in Singapore, the ship will sail to Langkawi, Krabi Phuket, Sabang and Sihanoukville before arriving in Ko Chang.

Up to 1,500 of the ship’s passengers will spend the day exploring the destination and experiencing its pristine beaches before continuing the cruise to Laem Chabang and Koh Samui.

Pacific Eden will again return during two seven-night Thailand Unleashed itineraries departing Singapore on 6 August and 20 August.

Meanwhile, in 2016 Silversea Cruises will make its inaugural visit to Ko Phra Thong.

The line’s expedition vessel, Silver Discoverer will set sail to the island during an 11-day cruise from Singapore.

Silver Discoverer will visit Malacca, Penang, Langkawi, Ko Adang, Ko Rawi, Ko Similan, Kawthaung and Mergui Archipelago before arriving in Ko Phra Thong.
