The line’s newest ship the Discovery Princess will make her debut in November 2021 and make her inaugural sailing in the Mediterranean.
The Discovery Princess will be the third ship in the fleet to be built from the ground up with the MedallionClass experience after the Sky and Enchanted Princess. She is also Princess Cruises’ sixth and final Royal-class ship.
Her inaugural season features 30 departures and 21 unique itineraries in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South America before arriving in Los Angeles for her West Coast debut. The line has released her sailings up to May 2022 for booking.
Her maiden sailing is a seven-day Mediterranean & Aegean cruise from Rome to Athens on November 3. She will then spend the rest of the month in the Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean in December 2021.
The Discovery Princess will also be the first time the California Coast gets to experience a brand new Princess ship when she arrives in March 1, 2022.
Other itinerary highlights include a 50-day circumnavigation of South America, visiting 22 destinations from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles.

Mediterranean: Eight itinerary options in the Mediterranean, sailing to 19 destinations in eight countries, and ranging in length from seven to 21 days. Guests can choose to sail from Rome, Athens or Barcelona. More Ashore late-night calls are offered in Barcelona, Genoa, and Mykonos on select itineraries. Cruise departure dates: Nov 2021.
Caribbean: Six holiday voyages, ranging from four, eight or 16 days, cruising to eight destinations in seven countries visiting the Eastern Caribbean with a new port of call in Tortula and Southern Caribbean sailing to all three ABC islands in December, 2021.
South America: Sailing to 22 destinations in 11 countries on six departures, including a 50-day voyage from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles. More Ashore late night calls include Rio de Janeiro (overnight), Buenos Aires and Lima (overnight) in Jan and Feb, 2022.
Mexico and the California Coast: Discovery Princess makes her West Coast debut in Los Angeles on March 1, 2022. Guests can set sail to Mexico on a 5-day cruise with an overnight stay in Cabo San Lucas or on a 7-day Mexican Riveria cruise. Guest can also enjoy a 7-day Classic California Coast with More Ashore in San Francisco and San Diego including the experiences of sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge. Departure dates March to May, 2022.
